You should try and match your wedding dress and wedding accessories to the style of venue you’ve chosen. For example, if you are getting married in a castle, a princess style wedding dress would look perfect. If you’re getting married on the beach, then a more casual, knee length style might be what you want.

What time of year is your wedding? If you’re getting married in the winter and it’s going to be freezing cold, you might want a wedding dress with long sleeves and perhaps a shawl or faux fur bridal wrap to go over your shoulders. For summer, you can afford to go for a lighter fabric dress to keep you cool. You don’t want to go blue from the cold/sweat from the heat!

Consider Your Skin Colour and Tone

You can get wedding dresses in pretty much any colour nowadays, but the most popular dresses are white, cream and gold. You’ll want to choose a fabric that makes you skin colour glow, not look like you’re ill. For example, you might have your heart set on a pure white dress, but if you’re very pale this will make you look like a ghost. Consider having a spray tan, or pick a different colour dress.

Know Your Budget

There’s a gorgeous wedding dress out there to suit every budget imaginable, so don’t think you have to remortgage your house to pay for the perfect dress. Set a budget and stick to it, then you have more money to find the perfect wedding jewellery and bridal shoes
